With the closing of D.C. General Hospital, the policies of privatization and neoliberalism are in full swing in Washington, DC.District of Columbia residents, who don't have much political power as it is, are getting a good taste for the neoliberal policies that are inflicted on poor people around the world by the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Fortunately, the movement fighting against these huge institutions has focused its attention on similar misery being inflicted on our neighbors in the back yard.

Gentrification
Ever wonder how that new Fresh Fields contributes to gentrification? What impact does gentrification have on poor residents and working class people in the District? We hope to answer those questions in coming months and do much more.
