Let's face it, parenting is a difficult job, even if our species has had thousands of years to figure it out. Unfortunately, we live in societies filled with capitalist consumerism, coercive schooling, and religious nonsense that obscure the healthy ways to be a parent to children. It's also hard to be a parent when our society arranges things so that only the biological parents are supposed to take care of kids, with friends and family and neighbors being discouraged from playing an active role in parenting. Anarchists are working with other folks to create and implement better ways of parenting.
