I've reverted this page back to its original form. If riseaboveit or anyone else would like to add other sides to the story they are welcome to using a neutral point of view. I admit that the original article is not using the best NPOV so I do encourage people to add sourced info, but not in a blatantly one-sided manner. Also, the deletion of important facts to the case is not acceptable.

Risaboveit's response:

You sound more reasonable here than in the original tract. The so-called Virgin Island Five would now be considered nothing more than terrorists in a more enlightened world as to what constitutes terrorism and what is legitimate political dissent. Your "POV" is in essence a justification for murder of innocent people. That is not a valid "POV". Ever. But thanks for asking that i provide neutral facts as long as they support your terror thesis.

I took out some of the more biased language and added that the article's neutrality has been contested. If you would like to add more mature and thoughtful counterpoints to the page then you can.

These men have been considered Political Prisoners because they have been targetted for the political beliefs. As far as I know they all maintain their innocence. Thus, considering them political prisoners is not to condone the murders of tourists, but the highly questionable way in which these men were apprehended, the unjust treatment they received and the unfair trial that found them guilty.

Also, these men receive support from political prisoner groups such as the Anarchist Black Cross Federation. Deleting important information to their case and rewriting the article in an obviously biased, inflammatory way warrants disruption in my book.

You have had plenty of opportunity to voice opposing views on this article in a responsible manner. If you continue to act in a childish, reactionary way this will be taken up with other wiki volunteers. Please, respect this venue and use it appropriately. thanks.

An appropriate POV for this wiki is one that supports political prisoners and doesn't label people as "murderers." Given the long history of states framing political people on criminal charges, we have to support all political prisoners with entries that are written accordingly. There is no neutrality at all in the above statement. Any group that calls itself "Anarchist" clearly has biased political views. It is obvious that this is justifying murder. Also, facts are not supported. Have you ever heard of a list of references? Interesting that only criminals flee to Cuba, while millions of repressed Cubans flee out of that Communist island. The ex-Vietnam veteran's brother is the recent cop-killer gunned down in Miami after a wide man-hunt. Must be something in this particular genetic pool. --Mayte Sandrin

I was living in St. Croix at the time of this incident in which Ishamel LaBeet was taken from St. Croix to the U.S. It was was a great subject of rumor, inuendo, and blatant belief that he was the illegimate son of the Alexander Farrelly the Governor of the Virgin Islands and thus the reason that the governor, without explanation. pardoned one of the convicted murders in the Fountain Valley Massacre. I was living in Judge Young's beach house at the time, and this info came from a somewhat reliable source.

This is not wikipedia, i think concern over point of view biases is misplaced. While I, and most anarchists I think, wouldn't support random shootings of the wealthy as revolutionary, we also realize that those convicted of such acts are in fact political prisoners. We also do not lend resources to police supporters.
