The word "Autonomism" is a pretty bad translation of "autonom" or "autonomist" for the german "Autonomen". Many Autonomen in german speaking countries use the term instead of Autonomisten because it means someone who is autonomous rather than someone who subscribes to an autonomist ideology.

Autonomen means autonomous ones not someone who subscribes to a theory.
