The Libertarian Workers Group was a New York City based affinity group which was a member of the US Anarchist Communist Federation (ACF). The Libertarian Workers Group (LWG) left the ACF in 1981, as did other affinity groups. The LWG had conferences with these other affinity groups, which were mostly in Toronto, Canada. Out of this came the journal Ideas and Action.

In 1984, the LWG and others formed the anarcho-syndicalist Workers Solidarity Alliance (WSA). Ideas and Action became solely the WSA's journal henceforth.
