Carlo Cafiero (Barletta September 1, 1846 - Nocera Inferiore July 17, 1892) was an important Italian anarchist and champion of Mikhail Bakunin during the second half of the 1800's.

Originally a member of the First International, due to his friendship with Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, he was eventually imprisoned for his beliefs. He split with Marxism, in part due to Italy's sweeping following of Bakunin's anarchist ideology.
