There is a growing community of anarchists and anti-authoritarians in Memphis, Tennessee.

The deCleyre Cooperative (link) An anarchist collective house and meeting space. Also houses an extensive library of radical literature. Located in the midtown/U of M area. Named after anarcha-feminist Voltairine DeCleyre.

Food Not Bombs of Memphis (link) The Memphis chapter of Food Not Bombs.


WAC Memphis (link) The Womens Action Coalition of Memphis is a radical organization, promoting equality for women in Memphis and surrounding area, through protest and direct action.


Radical Cheerleading([1]) Radical Cheerleading combines protest with performance, completely transforming the subsurvient/sexist stereotypes of tradition cheerleading. The Memphis chapter was one of the original, and has been around for almost 20 years.


Mid-south Peace and Justice Center (link) The Memphis Peace and Justice Center.


Revolutions Memphis Community Bicycle Shop (link) Provides affordable and reliable bicycles to Memphians unable to afford the retail rates of professional bicycle shops; and educates the community on using bicycles as a form of alternative transportation.

Free Radio Memphis Free Radio Memphis was a pirate radio station. It was created and maintained by local anarchists and media activists who disagreed with the corporate control of media. The station was forcefully shut down by the FCC on September 23, 1998.

Memphis IWW (Mother Jones Branch) The Memphis Branch of the Industrial Workers of the World. It was named after Memphis-native and union activist Mother Jones.
