Giuliani Puts Foot in Mouth at Gay March
“Mayor Giuliani heard some cheers but was treated to a mobile chorus of boos
by members of Gay and Lesbian People of Color, who chanted, "Out of the parade."
Giuliani, a veteran of six gay pride parades, brushed off the heckling. "The
kind of anger here is not really anger directed at me. It's anger about yourselves,"
he said.”

“But Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was repeatedly heckled along the parade route,
particularly by a contingent of minority marchers who were angry that he was
marching close to them. The police said three people were arrested, two on charges
of disorderly conduct and one on charges of petty larceny. "You should be able
to march as the mayor of New York City anyplace you want," Giuliani said after
he made his planned exit from the parade route, "and if people can't deal with
their own anger over that, that's really something emerging from them, from
inside them."

Gay Pride Parade”
What could the supposedly pro-gay Mayor of New York City and keynote speaker
at the upcoming Log Cabin Republican fundraiser* [a gay event], Rudy Giuliani,
have meant by the comment, "The kind of anger here is not really anger directed
at me. It's anger about yourselves," he said.”? Could the cross-dressing Mayor
whose top fundraiser and closest confidant, Howard Koeppel, is gay have meant
that gay people are angry at themselves because they are gay? Or, could Mayor
Giuliani have meant that the minority gay marchers were angry simply because
of their race?
What could the civil rights violating Mayor who routinely blocks demonstration
permits, has activists arrested and keeps the public from attending public events
at which he is present (example: his last innauguaration) have meant by his
statement that, "You should be able to march as the mayor of New York City anyplace
you want...". Is there a different standard of free speech and association for
Rudy?
Why not ask those hired to answer such questions?
