Sourcing policy

From The Matrix

Jump to: navigation, search

The Matrix requires that most information added to pages be properly sourced. This means that information about where information came from must be included in the text of the page.

Example:

"Reaching saturation in the suburbs and rural communities that have made the chain the world's discount retail leader, Wal-Mart is venturing into large union-friendly cities like Chicago to expand its more than 5,000-store empire, Bisio said." ("Wal-Mart wages grass-roots campaign to crack Chicago", Antonio Olivo, Chicago Tribune, May 23, 2004)

Factual information, such as the name of a company, its addresses, the names of its products and similar information, don't need to be sourced.
