Maxxam and Pacific Lumber have been longtime targets of Earth First! Kaiser Aluminum's workers are organized under the United Steelworkers of America. Many of the workers from Kaiser Aluminum were very vocal during their lockout. Earth First!ers, environmental activists and Steelworkers got together and formed the Alliance for Sustainable Jobs and Environment, to work on common issues to both groups.
