Fox Entertainment Group is an American entertainment industry company that owns film studios and broadcast, cable and direct broadcast satellite television properties. Trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "FOX," it is 83 percent owned and controlled by Australia's News Corporation.

It is named after William Fox, born Wilhelm Fried, who created the original Fox Film Corporation.
