Thanks and Kudos to the RACB "Black Bloc"

BLACK BLOC the new MINUTE MEN
The BLACK BLOC acted all weekend as a protector of the protestors and civilians whom were being beaten without provacation by storm troopers. I was thanked by many protestors and citizens of D.C. They shook my hand on the metro and yelled positive remarks as I passed in the street. I am BLACK BLOC material. I was with the BLACK BLOC all weekend. I know:
1) At least 90% of BLACK BLOC never commited acts of vandalism.
2) At least 99% of us never did anything violent unless we were being attacked or were helping someone being attacked by the police.
3) There were far more of us than the media shows or most people know. Sunday we had a parade of well over a thousand people. We could have taken any store, demolished any street but did not.
4) BLOCKADING IS NOT A VIOLENT ACT! When we blockaded with whatever we could find we did it to protect the protestors.
And whenever I saw any form of littering the BLACK BLOC ran to clean it up.
5) The people of BLACK BLOC are mostly vegan lower class kids or adults who grew up in rough surroundings mostly in the inner city. We want change for the betterhood of everyone, with as little violence as possible. We want a world of direct democracy where everyone has a voice. Where communities deside on their children's education and who guards their streets (If anyone).
6) Right now we are building a movement of resistence. To educate and collaborate. To yell out where people have no voice. And to protect where police brutality is going too far.

Hi,
I also paricipated in the Rvolutionary Anti-Capitalist Bloc, and I think it's important that people know that
there were a large number of women in our group as well.
I have estimated that the "arrestables" among us were composed of about 50% women. Also, I think that people
need to be aware of how many people of color were among
us -- proportionally speaking, the black bloc may have
been more diverse than the mobilization as a whole.

Upstate ny has got your back..Im from plattsburgh and me along with my affinity group of about 5 or 6 people came to DC specifically to join the blac block. we are thinking about starting a cell up here and whenever you guys need additional numbers we will be up there as soon as possible. we just need the info

Let us begin by saying EVERYONE rocked in DC: whether you locked down, got arrested, made food, made puppets, gave rides, gave directions, provided housing...we were all necessary. But in particular we want to acknowledge the role of the black bloc because of the heat they caught after Seattle. Their militancy, organization, discipline and respect served as a spark and catalyst for the
victory we all helped create. It was a joy to see them coming and hopefully the legitimacy and respect they won from fellow protesters will translate into more solidarity and overall militancy the next time around. Congrats on a job well done.

An hour ago, writing for my own clarity, I wondered at what would happen when it was generally understood that Black Bloc was a presence between the indulgent force of police and the soft target of peaceful demonstrators.
Striking back is a natural reaction, but it needs to be complimented and supported. No single ring can have its effect in isolation; a movement that succeeds will have understood that.
If a tactic has an elemental simplicity to it, then it requires the elegance that only individual discipline can bring. Unless we are going to rely on just another version of hierarchical authority, then we will have to generate that discipline through a general understanding of situation and goal that might by itself mark this as a turning point in the history of praxis.
This is a dragon year; dragons are not known to be indulgent, but neither are they known to suffer indignity without response.
Those of us who understand our roles will have to stand stronger for the fact that our community is inchoate and subject of every form of disinformation. Self-direction, self-esteem, dignity, strong sense of identity, and respect for others ... the time is right for that sort of elemental simplicity.

Its all we can do in Sydney, Australia to empathise and take inspiration from Seattle/DCs blak blocs who reclaimed streets and defended people against the brutality of the state. We'll be acting on MayDay May2K!
Wait until the Olympics this year! they're looking more and more promising.. The world will be watching..
