by Michael Bakunin (1814-1876)
One of Bakunin's most famous works, published in various lengths, at times ending mid-second section with the line "This is the sense in which we are really Anarchists."
Originally titled "Dieu et l'état", Bakunin intended it to be part of the second portion to a larger work named "The Knouto-Germanic Empire and the Social Revolution" (Knouto-Germanic Empire is in reference to a contemporary treaty between Russia and Germany.
