Many remember her for her breakthroughs as a deaf and blind person and her work advocating for people with disabilities. What many don't know is that she was also a pacifist, a socialist, and a member of the IWW.

Many blind people charge the movie is deplorable to the blind of the nation and encourages the public to accept negative stereotypes about them.
