Femmes are often seen as non-radical or counterrevolutionary in many radical communities, despite the fact that we can take to the streets just as well as anyone else, in heels or steel-toed boots, and are FIERCE while doing it. As radical femmes, we often find ourselves alienated from mainstream femme discourse that focuses on standards of femme/femininity which are white, homonormative, aspire to be bourgeoisie, and rely on conspicious consumption. Thus, we radical femmes often find ourselves alienated from both our radical communities and femme communities. Earth First! That is what we are proposing for Amauta. Imagine a magazine that gives space to the serious debate of the suffering, oppressions, doubts and hopes of whomever wants to participate. In today’s media driven world, we are bombarded with constant information, and yet we still feel uninformed. Knowledge is power, but we continue to feel powerless in our own lives. These frustrations and impotence that we feel are real. But where are they coming from and why can’t we confront them properly? Indonesia, Amor Fati. Love and Anarchy #3 We're not going to write about the global pandemic, overproduction nonsense that makes predicting the collapse of capitalism, because after all, for the rulers, it is no more from business as usual. Our editorial was saturated with all kinds of news disasters and social repression. Not only that, we also have been saturated with all the words poetic about the rebellion that only trapped on the paper - as the occurs in this journal. Most of us have realized, if only stored in the hearts, that we do not have much time. That for all his life maybe beyond economic capital framework and hierarchy, is a passion and dream to be realized now. It’s the first community radio in the state of Guerrero and the only one in the Ñomndaa language. It has thousands of listeners in the Amuzga communities, and for many of them it’s the first time in their life they’ve been able to listen to music and news in their own language. |
