This is the eleventh year of the always popular, engaging, and informative Berkeley Anarchist Students of Theory And Research & Development conference. Every year we try to break up the monotony of the the workshop format by putting a twist into 8 hours of speeches and workshops.

The right for anyone to attempt to live naturally is thrown into a whirlwind of industrial nightmares. Often we become paralyzed by the cancerous encroaching of civilization and the pollution of what some label as progress.

Calling all anarchists, anti-authoritarians, and autonomists! The last weekend of March, people from across North Carolina and beyond will converge in Chapel Hill, NC for a conference exploring organizing and resistance in our communities and our lives. This year we decided to suggest discussions on strategies of social conflicts and academic aproach to anarchism, for which we will prepare introduction and suggest few texts that we find interesting for further debate. Montreal's fifth annual International Anarchist Theatre Festival, the largest in the world, is seeking submissions of anarchist theatre pieces to be staged Tues and Wed, May 18th and 19th, 2010. We are looking for English or French plays or monologues, from 5 to 30 minutes long, about anarchists, anarchist ideas and history, or any subject related to anarchy including anti-state, anti-war, against capitalism, racism, homophobia, sexism, etc. We will consider plays or monologues that are original work, that have already been performed, or that have been written by anarchists, historical or contemporary.

If ten years ago we were few, today in Russia we have numbers comparable to any other oppositional tendency outside the parliamentarian framework. In Belarus and Ukraine, the situation is the same. Besides the increasing independence, inside the anti-authoritarian movement we can see the lines between anarchism and anti-authoritarian marxism vanishing. There are more and more political groups and websites, where anarchist and anti-authoritarian marxist texts are found next to each other, and although differences of appraisal still exist, we believe that we can now talk of a single movement, which we call libertarian communist.
