Cindy is on the board of the Institute for Anarchist Studies and co-organizes the annual Renewing the Anarchist Tradition conference. She wrote for and designed Bringing Democracy Home, and writes for anti-authoritarian periodicals, including a regular column in Arsenal magazine. In addition to studying and teaching political theory, she has long been active in community organizing, libertarian left projects, and social movements, and edits books for a living. She is also on the faculty of the Institute for Social Ecology
